The channel

Electronic Gems is a curation project bringing hidden gems of the electronic music world to the forefront. Founded in 2012 by Daniel Cummer as a promotional YouTube channel, it set out to introduce listeners to overlooked electronic music before those artists broke into the mainstream.

Over the years the project evolved from a discovery channel into a genuine independent label, digging through synthwave, chillsynth and retrowave to spotlight artists who deserve a wider audience. Several of the scene's biggest names — including HOME, with the now-iconic track "Resonance," and oDDling — first found a mass audience through Electronic Gems.

Beyond weekly discoveries on YouTube, the project marks its milestones with collaborative compilation releases — each one a joint effort with the artists featured, celebrating a community built one track at a time.
